The zombie survival game Days Gone has been delayed until 2019. Days Gone was originally scheduled to release sometime in 2018, but today a spokesperson from Sony confirmed in a statement to USGamer that Days Gone is now scheduled to release in 2019. The release date has since been changed on the official Days Gone website as well. There was no reason given for the release date change.
Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Bend Studio, Days Gone is an open-world adventure game where players must survive in a world ravaged by hordes of undead. After a global pandemic wipes out most of the population, those who remain must fight to survive. Players are free to explore a vast sandbox however they see fit.
Other than the brief gameplay trailer shown at E3 2017, we haven’t heard much about Days Gone since the game was announced the year prior at E3 2016.
Days Gone is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro consoles. We’ll be sure to keep you informed of any changes as new details emerge. Until then, feel free to check out the Days Gone E3 2017 trailer above for a look at what SIE and Bend Studio have in store for Days Gone.
