For some time, Palworld, an upcoming open-world survival game reminiscent of the Pokemon franchise, has a release window of January 2024, with little further details about its exact launch or whether it would be released globally simultaneously. Today, Pocketpair officially released an early access release date announcement trailer for the game, revealing its launch date on Friday, January 19, 2024, a week and a half from now.
The announcement trailer starts by highlighting some of the pals you’ll encounter in the world, from those that can build for you to flying pals you use for traveling. It also displays combat, both with your pals’ abilities and gun combat, before leading into the release date reveal of January 19.
Starting January 19, 2024, Palworld will be available to play on PC through Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. According to the game’s Steam page, it’ll be released in early access on this date and is planned to stay in EA for at least one year. During this time, Pocketpair will collect feedback from players, fine-tune the game, and add new features over time. Currently, the exact details of how long Palworld’s early access period will last are unknown.
The game is also set to launch at one global release time. As of now, this exact time has yet to go public.
Palworld will be released in early access starting on this date, with Pocketpair planning to implement more monsters, buildings, and items in the game during this time.
Palworld will also be available in multiplayer, allowing you to play with other players who purchase the game. The game’s price was also announced shortly after, with it being available for $29.99 or your regional currency during the early access launch. According to the game’s Steam page, this amount may increase over time, particularly before Palworld’s full release.
Fortunately, there have also been no official statements on whether the game will be delayed, indicating the January 19, 2024 release date is final.
