During Quakecon, Bethesda Games Studios announced yet another version of Skyrim. This version is called the Skyrim Anniversary edition to celebrate the game ten year anniversary.
Skyrim Anniversary Edition Announced So Get Ready To Play It Again
Releasing on November 11, 2021, Skyrim will be updated for the next generation of consoles like the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. You can check out the official description from the Elder Scrolls website below.
“Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim celebrates 10 years of adventuring in stunning detail. The Anniversary Edition includes a decade worth of content: the critically acclaimed core game and add-ons of Skyrim Special Edition, plus over 500 unique pieces of content from Creation Club such as quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells. With Creations and Mods, there’s a lot more to discover.”
If you already own the Skyrim Special Edition, you’ll receive the next-gen upgrade for free when it releases on November 11.
The biggest addition for the game is fishing, which is coming to Skyrim for the very first time. A little weird that an RPG as big as Skyrim didn’t already have fishing, but hey, who are we to complain I guess.
Anyway, if you’re looking forward to playing Skyrim for the 100th time, you’ll have that option in the next updated visuals this November.
