Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is finally here, ushering in a new age of brutal melee combat filled with guts, gore, glory, and treasures just waiting to be discovered. To celebrate the official launch of the game, Fatshark has released a brand-new trailer featuring footage from the in-game engine.
Over the past few weeks players have been able to dive into the bloody goodness of Vermintide 2 thanks to the game’s closed beta, as well as the special preorder beta that has been live up until release today. Now, though, players can finally experience the fun of the game to its fullest extent.
If you never played Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, the original game from Fatshark, then you might not be so familiar with Vermintide. In the game players join up with three other heroes to take on hordes of evil ratmen and chaos soldiers throughout various missions—all while trying to gear up and collect rare loot. It’s a fun cooperative experience that channels Left 4 Dead and brings the cooperative survival genre back to the forefront of the industry.
Loot is even more valuable to players in Vermintide 2 as there are now a total of fifteen different careers that players can undertake and customize to find the perfect playstyle that fits them. Choose from one of five different heroes and then master their different weapons, items, and traits to become the hero that the Empire needs as you try to push back the Skaven hordes. There are new traits, talents, and even abilities to choose from that help you customize your hero as much as possible.
