Persona 3 Reload Hanged Social Link Answers Featured

Maiko has to deal with a lot at a young age, putting her Social Link in Persona 3 Reload on a more depressing note. But life goes on regardless, so you gotta do what you can to help this little girl go through it all.

Maiko Oohashi represents the Hanged Man Social Link in Persona 3 Reload, and the link can be forged after 5/6. To find Maiko, head to the Naganaki Shrine and you’ll see her next to the playground. She first asks for something round and hot to eat, and follows by asking for something fizzy and bitter to drink.

You need to bring her two items: A Weird Takoyaki and a Mad Bull. Weird Takoyaki can be bought from the Octopia store in Iwatodai Strip Mall, while Mad Bull is obtained from the vending machines in Iwatodai Station. Mad Bull is also available on the machines inside the Dorm Hallway 2F, but these are only available at night. If you already have these in your inventory, Maiko will automatically take them.

After giving her this totally-not-suspicious food, Maiko asks you to come visit her again another day. Encountering her again will properly start the Girl at the Shrine Social Link. She’s available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Make sure that you’re always carrying a Hanged Man Persona like Inumagi when meeting her so you can get extra points each time you meet. If you’ve been getting the “I feel like I might get close to Maiko soon…”, it means that you’re up for a rank-up during the following hangout.

After finishing Rank 3, you can also start the Sun Social Link after Koromaru joins the team. You also need to reach Academics Level 4 to make the Thin Young Man speak with you.

Finishing the Girl at the Shrine Social Link allows you to fuse for Attis, the ultimate Hanged Man Persona and one of the best Endurance-based Personas in the game. It requires some good levels before you can summon it, though.

What Happens if Maiko is Lost in Tartarus?

After 10/22, Maiko will become one of the humans you have to rescue inside Tartarus. While she’s lost inside the dungeon, you cannot initiate or continue her Social Link, so you should go and rescue her as soon as possible. If you fail to save her before the next Full Moon (11/3), she’ll perish at the hands of the Shadows and you won’t be able to continue her Social Link at all.

If you manage to complete it before that happens, she still gets lost anyway. And you should still go and rescue her regardless of that since there are some good rewards for saving people inside Tartarus. And you know, it kinda feels bad reaching the end of the game knowing that you left a child to die when you could easily save her within a few minutes of exploration. The same goes for Bunkichi, who also will eventually be stuck inside the night tower.
