Alongside the typical Syndicate Tower bosses that you must tackle as part of the main storyline in Palworld, there are also a handful of creature fights, dubbed Mineshaft Field Bosses, that prove somewhat challenging. These range in level from 25 to 49, making them end-game content for most.

Each hidden mineshaft in the game features a boss-monster icon — a white-horned creature — on the world map.

Tips for Defeating Mineshaft Field Bosses

Once you enter each mineshaft, first and foremost, you’ll note how incredibly dark the environment is inside. You’ll want to bring along a light source, such as a hand-held torch, hip lantern, or a Pal that emits light, such as Foxparks.

As you progress through the winding tunnel to the boss room, you’ll also notice no other Pals inside. It’s just an empty tunnel leading to the final chamber. Inside this chamber is the boss Pal, usually with a few ore nodes and a purple chest to unlock after you defeat the boss. You can, of course, open it mid-fight, but that leaves you open to a back attack.

Lastly, it should be immediately evident that the boss arena is cramped. It’s a small, circular room with very little space to maneuver. And being boss-level creatures, these monsters hit hard. You want to remain on your toes, dodging and striking whenever possible, and allow your team of Pals to handle much of the work while you stay alive and kicking.
