Another month, another new Warbond. And enemy type. And mission type. And.. can we slow down with the content? I have other stuff to play!
As part of today’s Helldivers 2 update, which introduces the new Democratic Detonation Warbond (Battle Pass), we were treated to a little surprise: brand new Ship Module Upgrades. These are what you’ll spend your Research Samples on, be they Common, Rare, or Super. If you’re capped on Samples or were just waiting for the right upgrade, take a look at the list below and see if any strike your fancy.
All New Ship Upgrades and Their Prices in Helldivers 2
- Level 4 Patriotic Admin Center upgrade: Superior Packing Methodology – Resupply boxes fill Support Weapons with the maximum number of carriable magazines.
- Price: 150 Common, 150 Rare, 15 Super, 20,000 Requisition Slips
- Level 4 Orbital Cannons upgrade: Atmospheric Monitoring – Orbital HE barrage spread reduced by 15%
- Price: 200 Common, 150 Rare, 15 Super, 25,000 Requisition Slips
- Level 4 Hangar upgrade: XXL Weapons Bay – Eagle stratagems that drop multiple bombs will drop 1 additional bomb(s).
- Price: 150 Common, 150 Rare, 15 Super, 25,000 Requisition Slips
- Level 4 Bridge upgrade: Enhanced Combustion – Fire damage from Stratagems increased by 25%.
- Price: 200 Common, 150 Rare, 15 Super, 25,000 Requisition Slips
- Level 4 Engineering Bay upgrade: Circuit Expansion – Lightning arcs, fired from weapons and turrets, jump to one additional enemy
- Price: 200 Common, 150 Rare, 20 Super, 20,000 Requisition Slips
- Level 4 Robotics Workshop upgrade: Blast Absorption – Sentries take 50% less damage from explosions.
- Price: 150 Common, 150 Rare, 20 Super, 25,000 Requisition Slips
These are pretty good! And they’re also.. not cheap at all! Having Requisition Slips thrown on the price is a first – likely since there haven’t been as many Stratagems available to purchase, so these are acting as a bit of a money sink. But look at those Sample costs! That’s dozens of hours of grinding for Samples alone. I’ll be more than happy to fork up the time and money for extra fire damage, but I’ll be hard-pressed to spend that much on something as trivial as turret explosion resistance.
The good news is these are at the end of their respective categories, so you won’t need to buy them. Until, that is, they add even higher-level upgrades. Then you might be wishing you’d done those extra few Haz 7 missions to round out your Super Samples.
