Alone in the Dark, the fan-favorite survival horror series of the past, is coming to the current generation of gaming in the form of a new remake. Backed with the star power of David Harbour and Jodie Comer, the upcoming game is one of the horror genre’s most intriguing titles, in a generation already packed with impressive remakes from other iconic franchises. Alone in the Dark Release Date
After initially being slated for an October 2023 release, Alone in the Dark will make its long-awaited return next year on January 16, 2024.

Alone in the Dark will reportedly release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is in development at Pieces Interactive and will be published by THQ Nordic.

According to the game’s description, “Return to Derceto Manor in this reimagination of Alone in the Dark, a love letter to the 90’s cult classic horror game.” Alone in the Dark features two playable protagonists, including Harbour’s Edward Carnby and Comer’s Emily Hartwood.

The Alone in the Dark Remake (2024) is the seventh entry in the series following Alone in the Dark (1992), Alone in the Dark 2 (1993), Alone in the Dark 3 (1994), Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (2001), Alone in the Dark (2008), and Alone in the Dark: Illumination (2015).
