During the Open Hand Temple murders, you’ll make your way into the cave below Wyrm’s Crossing, where there is a Strange Flowery Key. Here’s where to use the strange flowery key in Baldur’s Gate 3.
The Exact Location of the Strange Flowery Key
The Strange Flowery key is on the corpse of Zomm by Wyrm’s Crossing. The exact coordinates for this are X:64 Y:-1021. You’ll need to head to the Under Temple Cave Area, which is at (X: 5, Y: 74).
The Strange Flowery Key is part of the Solve the Open Hand Temple Murders questline. This quest starts when you enter the Open Hand Temple and find Sister Yannis at coordinates (X:-44, Y:-6).
Where to Use the Strange Flowery Key in BG3
The Strange Flowery Key opens up a hidden wardrobe door on the third floor of Fraygo’s Flophouse. This building can be found north of the Open Hand Temple on the left side of the main bridge. Fraygo’s Flophouse has a lot going on, including plenty of chests to open on the second floor, but you need to make your way to the top floor.
When you enter the top floor room, there is a dresser on the left side of the room. As long as you have the Strange Flowery Key, simply interacting with the dresser will push your character into the next room. You will be rewarded with some XP for the whole party in BG3 and plenty of clues to further the Open Hand Temple Murders quest.
On the table to the right, there is a list of potential murder victims, including the ones you have already been investigating. Make sure to save this evidence, and if you haven’t already, speak to the elephant investigator at the Open Hand Temple to get that quest going.
Where to Use the Strange Flowery Key in BG3:
- Head to Fraygo’s Flophouse north of Rivington.
- The building is on the left side of the bridge to Wyrm’s Crossing.
- Head all the way to the top floor of the flophouse.

With enough perception, you can also spot some blood and a body hidden underneath the bed in the room. Aside from the clues and the body, the Strange Flower Key doesn’t lead to any especially powerful loot in Baldur’s Gate 3. You can loot some strong poisons, but that’s about it for this portion of Fraygo’s Flophouse. Here’s a list of the strong poisons in the Flophouse.
- Wizardsbane Oil
- Drow Poison
- Oil of Accuracy
- Wyvern Toxin
