Call of Duty: Ghosts – How to Play as Michael Myers in Onslaught

Terrorize the opposition with his signature mask and axe.

Last week, the much anticipated first DLC release of Call of Duty: Ghosts went live for Xbox One and Xbox 360 users. Onslaught features four new maps, two new weapons and Episode 1 of Extinction. It also lets players terrorize the opposition as iconic Halloween killer Michael Myers, complete with his signature mask.

Right now, the Onslaught DLC is the only place you can find the Michael Myers character. On top of that, the only place you can find Onslaught is the Xbox One and Xbox 360. For PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC fans, no official release date has been announced. Still, it’s a safe bet Onslaught will be available for all platforms before the end of February.

Assuming you have access to the Onslaught DLC, playing as the horror movie legend can be tricky. Even though there are four new maps to play on, Michael Myers is only available on Fog and only once per round. That’s not once per round for each player. Between all players in the game, Michael Myers can only be used by one player at one time.

Once you begin a match on Fog, you still have some work to do before you can cut up enemy players. Although Michael Myers plays a lot like the Juggernaut Maniac, he’s unlocked through the Field Orders, not Strike Packages. This is where luck comes into the picture. There are rounds where some players may not see Field Orders at all, let alone complete them.

Once you complete the Field Order call in the Care Package, be careful not to get killed while you wait. It would be a shame to do all that hard work and lose it to the opposition. When you start playing as Michael, treat him exactly like you would the Juggernaut Maniac. He can take much more damage than standard players and can outrun anyone on the map. You might want to stay away from players who have the Guard Dog killstreak, since this appears to be Michael’s kryptonite. In addition, avoid shooting lanes where players can put a sustained amount of fire on you. Work your way through close quarter areas like buildings, paying attention to enemy locations on your mini map.

Of course, as soon as you start playing as Michael Myers, everyone will know because the creepy horror music from Halloween will start to play. Don’t be the least bit surprised if some players turn and run from you, as if that will save them.
