Bethesda has included numerous exciting features in Starfield to enhance your gaming experience and provide you with various customization options. Most of these features are either presented to you immediately or are standard Bethesda features that most players are familiar with. If you have encountered children in Starfield and are wondering whether you can have a child of your own, we are here to provide you with all the necessary details.
Can You Have Children in Starfield?
While you can have parents in Starfield and also romance and even marry some Companions if you play your cards right (here’s how to romance Barrett, Sam Coe, Sarah Morgan, and Andreja), sadly, having a child is impossible. However, there is something that you can do that will somewhat (technically speaking, at least) resemble a parent role in Starfield for your character.
How to Become a Parent in Starfield
Even though you cannot become a true parent in Starfield, you can romance (and marry) Sam Coe, who has a stepdaughter. Then, you will technically have a step-daughter yourself, which, technically, makes you a step-parent.
This idea came to me during a specific dialogue sequence (which I won’t spoil because you might not encounter it at all), and all things considered, it’s perfectly fitting to marry Sam Coe if you want to become a parent in Starfield, right?
Can You Adopt Kids in Starfield?
At the time of writing, it is not possible to adopt kids in Starfield. DLC could add this in the future, though nothing has been confirmed, or perhaps somebody will mod it in.
Now that you know whether you can have a child in the game or not, find out if you yourself can have parents in Starfield.
