Is There Official Support for Mods in Enshrouded?
Unfortunately, official support for mods does not exist at this moment. In case the position of Keen Games changes, we will update this article and provide additional information regarding mods. Until the announcement of official support for mods in Enshrouded, the PC gaming community will have to fend for themselves and attempt to mod the game unofficially.
Are There Any Unofficial Mods for Enshrouded Yet?
At the time of writing this article, no unofficial mods exist for Enshrouded. It’s too early in the game’s life cycle for mods to sprout out. My educated guess is that we’ll need to give the modding community about a week before we get significant mods, and only if the modding scene finds a way to forcefully mod Enshrouded without the official support from Keen Games.
Will There Be Official Mod Support for Enshrouded in the Future?
Keen Games has stated on its website that “modding makes games truly great,” but they cannot promise that the game will be moddable at this moment. Of course, the developers are wholeheartedly open to such a possibility in the future, which leads us to believe that it’s not the number one priority right now, which is completely understandable because pushing the game to the “1.0” full release is something most developers would prioritize.
I am sure that most developers are highly appreciative of the modding scene because it extends the game’s “best before” date and breathes new life and content into it, so we’ll just have to stay patient for the time being.
