Can You Kill Your Teammates In Lethal Company?

Yes, there is friendly fire in Lethal Company, and you can kill your teammates.

Let’s just say, hypothetically, you got your hands on the Shovel, and you wanted to give your friend a playful smack while exploring the inside of one of the facilities. We would strongly recommend against doing this, as three smacks may prove fatal and cause the untimely end of your friend, as friendly fire is a thing in this particularly horrifying multiplayer experience.

I found this out the hard way, as I got my hands on a Stop Sign and decided to give my buddy a playful bonk over the head with it. While we were laughing, I didn’t realize that it was causing a terrible amount of damage until I saw his body crumple to the floor, causing me to immediately lose it in both a fit of regret and laughter. I made sure to return his body to the ship, but the shame I felt was immense. I made sure to ring the bell as much as I could when we could sell off our scrap as repentance for my sins.

So, unless you have a teammate who isn’t chipping in as much as they should be, and they deserve to know that you’re sick of their lack of teamwork, we strongly recommend not giving any teammates a smack or two with any of the weapons in the game, as it could be the end of a stellar run for you.
