Palworld has had an incredibly successful launch, boasting millions of players in just a few days. The game has multiplayer, but does Palworld have PvP combat?
Will Palworld Have PvP Combat?
Currently, Palworld does not support PvP combat. The good news is that the game may not stay that way. As per the developers, the team is testing PvP internally and finding the right way to implement it into the game. Once they have a system that feels right, they’ll share news and supposedly bring it into the game.
On the bright side, that isn’t a loss of multiplayer entirely. The game still supports co-op with up to three of your friends. There is also the ability to make dedicated serves, through which 32 players can group up and play Palworld together. This is all currently available, though servers may take a bit as players get a hang of the tools and properly implement them.
How Could PvP Work?
There are numerous ways that PvP could work in Palworld. It could work off a system exclusive to dedicated servers, thanks to the higher player counts allowing for more hectic battles. It could also be a separate mode, seeing two groups build out bases and assault or defend using their army of Pals. It’s not entirely clear yet, though hopefully, the team will bring out a PvP mode that’s fun and has the right tools to make it engaging. Once the team has more to say, we’ll update this article to reflect the news.
How Does Multiplayer Work in Palworld?
To host games in Palworld with your friends, you’ll need to first get an invite code. Creating a multiplayer session in PalWorld via the main menu generates an invite code you can share with friends. These codes only work for individual sessions, so you’ll need a new one every time you start the game up. Palworld offers the choice of joining public servers, making your own server, or getting a dedicated server through a hosting website.
In multiplayer, guilds are parties, and all members in your party can work on your base and add additions. Keep in mind that loot is generated based on world, not player, so if you grab any loot you find, your friends won’t be able to get that same loot.
