How to Find Rare Pokémon Spawns
Rare Pokémon spawns are a new mechanic for players to get used to in Pokémon: Let’s Go, which means it’s going to take some time to find all of them. To help you get started on that journey, though, there are a couple of things you can do.
The best thing you can do to increase the chances of finding rare Pokémon spawns are to make use of Lures. These items can be purchased from the Poke Shop and will work very similarly to how they did in Pokémon Go, increasing the spawn rates of Pokémon in the area around you. We’re still working on mapping out some of the areas that you can look for rare Pokémon spawns, but you can normally tell if it’s a rare spawn by checking the habitat of the Pokémon in your PokeDex. Any routes that you find Pokémon in that aren’t listed in the habitat will count as rare spawn locations, and you can take advantage of those as needed.

When you’ve popped a Lure, we suggest hanging around a very grassy area for a good 10-15 minutes, only moving when you need to avoid encounters with aggressive Pokémon. This not only ensures that you have a high number of Pokémon spawns on screen, but also that you can easily pay attention to what kind of Pokémon are popping up, allowing you to find some of the rarer spawns out there.
