How to Find Charmander

We’ve already shown you where to find Bulbasaur in Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, but this iconic Grass-type Pokémon isn’t the only rare Pokémon spawn out there for players to find. In fact, players can find Charmander—the original Fire-type starter Pokémon from the series—in the rock tunnels that lead to Lavender Town.

On top of the rock tunnels that lead to Lavender Town, players can also search for Charmander along Route 3 and Route 4, As with the rock tunnels, it is a rare spawn, which means you might be hanging around a while waiting for Charmander to pop up. You can always increase the chances of the rare Pokémon in these areas spawning by using a Lure, which you can purchase from any PokéMart.

Once you pop the Lure, it will increase the amount of spawns that happen in the area around you, which you can then use to your advantage to try to get Charmander to spawn. If all else fails, you can also visit a male Trainer in the area just north of Cerulean City, who will reward you with a free Charmander if you’ve caught a total of 50 or more Pokémon.

Now that you have your very own Charmander, make sure you learn how to change your Pokémon’s nicknames and be sure to head back over to our Pokémon: Let’s Go guide for even more help becoming the best Trainer that you can be.
