Pokémon is all about collecting different Pokémon and training them up to become the strongest that they can be. Of course, like any Pokémon game, those diving into Pokémon: Let’s Go can get their hands on some legendary Pokémon like Mew. You just need to learn how to get Mew in Pokémon: Let’s Go. Luckily for you, today we’ll show you the only way to get Mew in Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.
How to Get Mew
Unfortunately, there’s currently only one way to get Mew in Pokémon: Let’s Go, and according to Nintendo, it might not be around forever. Because of this, players wanting to get their hands on the Mew will want to go ahead and capture this legendary Pokémon while it’s available.
The only way to currently add Mew to your collection of Pokémon is to purchase the Poke Ball Plus. This special item is an add-on for Pokémon: Let’s Go that can be purchased separately for $49.99 or as a special bundle with the game for $99.99.
Players who purchase the Poke Ball Plus will receive Mew alongside the add-on item, giving them a chance to make use of the legendary Pokémon in their game. It’s a nice addition to the item, and Pokémon fans will want to go ahead and pick it up while Mew is available. According to the official Pokémon website, the “ability to claim your gift of Mew may be discontinued at some point after the initial sales period”. This means you should go ahead and pick up a Poke Ball Plus as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving Mew as an additional gift.
It should also be noted that you will not be able to transfer Mew over from Pokémon Go. Like many of the other special Pokémon in Go, Mew will not be transferrable using the Go Park feature, making the Poke Ball Plus your only sure way to get this legendary Pokémon right now. You’ll be able to transfer your free Mew after you connect your Poke Ball Plus to your Pokémon: Let’s Go account.
