Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice offers four differerent endings for those players brave enough to brave FromSoftware’s latest adventure. Brutally unforgiving and filled with an aw-inspiring story, here’s how players can get the Purification ending out of the four available.

Before getting started, here our the four possible endings players can choose:

  • Shura
  • Severance
  • Purification
  • Return

We created a guide for the Return ending first because it’s the most intricate, but the Purification ending is an enjoyable one as well! In order to get this particular ending, it all begins on the Ashina Castle rooftop. Choose Kuro and then immediately head to Isshin’s Tower. Once there, a conversation can be overheard between him and Emma.

Once the conversation ends, head back to Kuro’s original location and tuck away in the corner of a room and eavesdrop once more following the prompt. Once the conversation wraps, head to a nearby idol and rest, and then go back to Emma to instigate a conversation where you will need to agree with her. Then head to the idol for more rest, and then immediately head right back to Emma.

Travel to the Old Grave Idol to then talk to Emma once more at the different location. Once done, head back to the Dilapidated Temple where another conversation can be overheard between both Emma and The Sculptor. Once the latest conversation wraps up, speak with her once more and she’ll grant you use of the Buddha statue.

Following granted access to the Buddha statue, defeat the two mini-bosses once at the Hirata Estate. Once defeated, head to Lady Butterfly’s room. Once slayed, the rest of the game can be carried out like normal to achieve the Purification ending.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
