Plan Ahead

Planning is a massive part of managing your park in Jurassic World Evolution and getting to grips with the space that you have to work with will be key to your success early on. At the onset of each campaign, you’ll find yourself losing money. It’s up to you to start making a profit while also keeping your park in tip top condition. To make sure you’re ready for this responsibility, make sure you plan out the locations of new buildings and enclosures. Putting things like Ranger Stations and ACU stations within good distance of your dinosaur enclosures will help make sure your teams have a speedy response.

Separate Your Dinosaurs

While it might not seem like that big of a deal—and the game doesn’t really hold your hand here—keeping all of your dinosaurs (carnivore and herbivore) together can be very, very dangerous. The carnivores will often attack the herbivores, which can quickly kill off your dinosaur population, causing you to lose money. To keep this from happening, go ahead and separate your dinosaurs early on. You’ll need to build the ACU in order to transport dinosaurs from one area to the other—as you will need to tranquilize them before you can transport them.

Feed Your Dinosaurs

Despite the fact that there are tons of trees planted around your dinosaur enclosure, your dinos will not take care of themselves. Because of this, you’ll need to build feeders. These can be found in the Enclosures area of your menu—on the left-hand side of your screen. Make sure to place both a herbivore feed and a carnivore feeder depending on which dinosaurs you currently have in place at your park. You’ll also need to make sure you keep these items resupplied often by your Rangers. You can easily task them to do it or take control of the vehicle and do it yourself.

Don’t Customize Genes Too Early

At the start of your park, try not to focus too much on customizing the genes in your different dinosaurs. This is one of the more complicated parts of the game and definitely something you should hold off on until after you’ve become accustomed to running your park efficiently. You can learn more about customizing genes once our guide releases—so keep an eye out for an updated link to that very soon.

The final little tip we’d like to offer before we leave you to it, is to take your time. Be patient and let your money build up. You never want to go broke in Jurassic World Evolution, as you never know what kind of troubles you might run into. If you’re playing on one of the more difficult maps, then you’ll have to worry about storms, so make sure you check out our guide on how to survive storms for helpful tips on how to keep your park and your visitors safe during those times.
