How Long Will Destiny 2 Servers Be Down – Answered

The Season of the Seraph has reached its end. Rasputin has sacrificed himself like a robot messiah in order to save Earth and all its inhabitants, bucking Clovis and his sociopathic ideals once and for all. The Witness and his fleet of Black Fleet of Darkness-aligned tetrahedral vessels have taken to the sky. The Traveler has attempted to flee, only to stop when it realized there was no place else to go.

The future of Earth, and perhaps the universe, rests upon the combined shoulders of Guardians, Eliksni, and the Cabal. On February 28, we’ll be able to take flight to the new planet, Neomuna, in an attempt to save life as we know it.

But for that to happen, the server has to go down. And it’s going to be down for quite some time. Starting at 12:00 p.m. EST, February 27, 2023, Destiny servers officially went down. They will remain down until 2:00 p.m. EST on February 28, 2023.

Yes, that’s a little later than our usual weekly reset time. But Lightfall promises to be one of the biggest expansions yet, with massive changes to build crafting, weapons, mods, subclasses, and even weekly playlist activities like Vanguard. Never mind a campaign that should harken back to 80’s action movies with a cyberpunk aesthetic.

As for what else is in store for us, it’s yet to be revealed. But part of the fun is discovering it firsthand.
