Season 1 of Diablo 4 will be the first time that we get tons of fresh content since the game went live in early June, and that means new Legendary Aspects are on the way. To help you prepare for the Season of the Malignant, I’ll cover how many new Aspects are slated to launch, along with the number of uniques expected to appear in Sanctuary.
Diablo 4 Season 1 – How Many New Aspects Are There?
There are seven new Legendary Aspects that will be available to unlock in Season 1 of Diablo 4. The Season of the Malignant promises one fresh Legendary Aspect for each individual class, and two new ones that are considered global. That means each class will have at least three different Aspects tied to the Season of the Malignant, allowing for more build diversity than before.
This number was confirmed by Adam Fletcher, the Global Community Development Director working on Diablo 4. Along with the total number of Legendary Aspects, he gave a small outline of some of the other item numbers in the Season of the Malignant.

We know for sure that six new uniques will also arrive in Diablo 4 Season 1, and though most unique aren’t must-have items, they allow for some incredibly diverse character builds. Unlike the Aspects though, there is no exact number for each class. So, the Unique items in the Season of the Malignant could be global or they could be split across the five classes.
Malignant Hearts are another set of items that will appear in Diablo 4 Season 1 as seasonal content. These all act like powerful Aspects and need to be placed within gear slots. Fletcher confirmed that there will be 32 Malignant Hearts available to unlock, which will be the crux of the seasonal grind when the update goes live.
