Although in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom you can choose the order in which you will complete the Temples and their bosses, most players will play the Wind Temple first – because the game kinda nudges you a little bit in that direction. When you overcome the long path that leads to this Temple, as well as manage to release all five locks, the boss encounter will start. Check out the guide below to find out how to defeat Colegra, the boss of the Wind Temple, in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Beat Colgera in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
This entire boss encounter will take place in the air, so you will have to use the Paraglider and take care of your stamina. At the bottom, there are ships whose sails you can use to bounce back to the top, so aim for them when falling.
Colgera Wind Temple Boss – Phase One Tactics
Colgera will use a portal to get below you and start heading upwards. Move out of the way, and use your bow to shoot it in the circular icey pink part. You can add various materials to the arrows for additional damage, but even three ordinary arrows will be enough to break one weak spot zone.
When the Colgera is below you and flying horizontally, it will start throwing stone projectiles at you from its circular parts. While free falling, dive above those parts while avoiding the stones, and aim to crash into the middle pink part that looks like glass (or ice, more likely). Keep doing that until Colgera enters the second phase, which will happen sometime once its health bar reaches the mid-point.

Colgera Wind Temple Boss – Phase Two Tactics
The second phase is identical to the first, except that Colgera will summon tornadoes that will bother you while you fly. Use the Tulin’s Gust ability to quickly move away from the tornado with the glider, and keep heading for the pink circular weak spots just like in the previous phase. Smash the remaining few pink weak spots and Colgera will fall – awarding you with a Heart Container.
Congratulations, you’ve beaten the first boss in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – and if you haven’t, and you’re still struggling, maybe it’s time to quick travel back to the surface and get better equipment, stock up more food to restore health and other boosts, and then try again. Remember, the Wind Temple entrance can be used as quick travel point, so take advantage of that.
