Street Fighter 6 has arrived and, aside from bringing the legendary Capcom VS fighter into the RE engine with new characters and mechanics, it also introduced something else that we haven’t seen in the series so far – a single-player RPG-like campaign. In World Tour mode, you create your original Street Fighter character to free-roam the streets of Metro City, where you will level up and complete missions, also getting to learn techniques from your masters – the legendary Street Fighter characters themselves.
At the very beginning of the campaign, your first master, Luke, will send you on a quest to buy some additional clothes – namely one hot pink hat. So, let’s check out how to change your custom character’s appearance in Street Fighter 6, because you’re going to need it!
Where to Change Gear for World Tour Custom Characters in Street Fighter 6
To change your character appearance, i.e. change your gear in World Tour mode, while you are in the free roam:
- Call up your mobile device menu by pressing the touchpad on the DualSense (or whatever you got mapped for the mobile menu on the system you play on)
- Then select “Status” (the first icon on your mobile device menu)
- Use L1 and R1 to select the “Gear” tab (it’s the first one)

In this menu, you can customize your character’s gear, and select stuff like a cap, upper body wear, pants, shoes, gloves, etc. At the very bottom of the menu on the left is the “Favorite Gear” option where you can save up to 10 presets of your favorite gear combinations.
And don’t forget, in the World Tour mode, gear is not just for the show, or to be a “Fashion Leader” as the trophy/achievement is called when you first style your character. Gear actually plays a more important role in this RPG-like mode, as it increases your character stats – so always check how changing gear will affect your character’s ability to fight (on the street).
