How to Complete Into the Abyss in Destiny 2

Time to kick some Vex butt

Whatever complaints you might have about Bungie or Destiny, here’s one thing that’s for certain. They’re really trying to make Exotic hunting a little easier. And as of Season of the Deep, some of those classic Exotics can be grabbed by completing an easily accessible quest. Here’s how to complete Into the Abyss in Destiny 2.

How to Complete the Contraverse Hold Exotic Quest in Destiny 2

If you’re a fan of Exotic Gauntlets, Void, and spamming grenades, then the Contraverse Hold is something to covet. And now, with the Into the Abyss questline, it’s easier than ever to get. So, let’s dive right in.

If you don’t have the quest yet, and you’re a warlock, speak to Ikora in the Tower to grab the quest. Once you have that, you’ll need to complete eight steps. Those eights steps are:

  • Step 1.
    • With a Void subclass equipped, defeat weakened targets, defeat targets with abilities, and cast your Super.
      • Void Weaken 0%.
      • Void abilities 0/40.
      • Supers 0/3.
  • Step 2.
    • Complete the Orrey Lost Sector on Nessus, and loot the Lost Sector chest.
      • There will be an Exotic marker on the map. Do not go there. The Orrey is in Artifact’s Edge. Once you defeat the boss and loot the cache, you’ll get a Geodesic Knot, which you’ll need to bring to Ikora.
  • Step 3.
    • Purchase the Chaos Accelerant Aspect from Ikora in the Tower Bazaar.
      • You’ll skip this and the next step if you already have the Chaos Accelerant Aspect.
  • Step 4.
    • Meditate to learn your new subclass ability.
      • The meditation device is next to Ikora in the Tower Bazaar.
  • Step 5.
    • Speak with Ikora.
  • Step 6.
    • Equip the Void subclass and Contraverse Hold.
  • Step 7.
    • Complete the strike “Insight Terminus” on Nessus with your Void subclass and Contraverse Hold equipped.
      • You can select this Strike from the Nessus map. The Strike icon is at the very top.
  • Step 8.
    • Speak to Banshee-44.
