How to Complete Keeper of the Gales in Palia
To reach the Temple of Roots, we’ll first need to overcome three quests: the Keeper of Gales, Keeper of Waves, and Keeper of Flames. And this time, we’ll be quelling those winds. The quick list on completing the Keeper of Gales in Palia is here, and I’ll dive into more detail below.
- Speak to Caleri in Kilima Village.
- Go to the caves near Hideaway Bluffs.
- Enter the Mysterious Tunnel.
- Enter the code “ACER” at the Mysterious Device.
- Select and disengage Garden Lockdown Protocol.
- Reap the rewards.
Speak to Caleri, who can be found in the library in Kilima Village. She’ll be uncertain about where to direct you at first, but through deductive reasoning determines that the aeroflow overseer station will likely be in Bahai Bay. This is where we’ll be headed! Go to Hideaway Bluffs in Bahai Bay. You’ll see mountains, but don’t want to ascend. We’re actually looking for tunnels.
The entrance to the cave is near the ponds just south of the mountains right of Hideaway Bluffs. Enter here and follow the path straight. Don’t drop down. Instead, continue until you hit the second geyser and turn right. You’ll see a little diamond tile and a cave that burrows further into the mountain. Jump over the rocks and follow it.
You’ll very quickly find a dead end. Climb up. I found that the walls here are finicky, to say the least. But keep trying, and eventually, you’ll find yourself on a new level with a door in front of you. Interact with this door to enter the Mysterious Tunnel.
This small room contains a robot called the Mysterious Device. And you’ll need a password to access its menu. The password, fortunately, is just to the right of it. Look at the table to the right of the Mysterious Device and you’ll find a note. Read it, and you might note that some letters are strangely capitalized. If you isolate the capitalized letters, you get the password ‘ACER’.
Speak to the Mysterious Robot and input the code as follows:
- 2: [A—]
- 3: [-C–]
- 2: [–E-]
- 1: [—R]
Once you’ve logged in, you can read through the lore here by perusing Hephaestus’ message, or you can skip to the next step by selecting GARDEN LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL. Once you’ve selected the Garden Lockdown Protocol, select Disengage.
Doing so will conclude the Keeper of the Gales and net you 10 Renown. Now, all that’s left is the Keeper of Flames and the Keeper of Waves.
