How to Complete Keeper of the Flames in Palia
To reach the Temple of Roots, we’ll first need to overcome three quests: the Keeper of Flames, Keeper of Waves, and Keeper of Gales. So, let’s handle those flames first. The quick list on completing the Keeper of Flames in Palia is here, and I’ll dive into more detail below.
- Speak to Sifuu in Kilima Village.
- Go to Lighthouse Lagoon in Bahai Village.
- Enter the Mysterious Tunnel.
- Enter the code “CATO” at the Mysterious Device.
- Select and disengage Garden Lockdown Protocol.
- Reap the rewards.
Speak to Sifuu, who can be found either in the tavern or the blacksmith forge in Kilima Village. You can speak to Hassian first, but he’ll just refer you to his mother, Sifuu. Sifuu will point you in the direction of Bahai Bay. Our goal is the Lighthouse Lagoon.
We’ll need to access the Mysterious Tunnel. But to reach it, you’ll need to glide to it. Using the geysers located around the map will help you do this. You can tell if a geyser is in the area using your map. Geysers are grey, with a sort of swirl pattern in the center.
To activate a geyser, simply stand on it and it will eventually create a jet of water that will send you flying into the sky. Press the spacebar to activate your glider, then land on the pathway marked on the map.
Inside, you’ll find a circular room. There’s a small robot, called the Mysterious Device, in front of a pyramid. Scattered around the room are three notes. The note with the password for the Mysterious Device can be found behind the Phoenix statue, which can be reached by heading up the stairs and jumping onto its platform. The password it reveals is ‘CATO’.
Speak to the Mysterious Device, then select ‘LOGIN’. Next, select ‘1’ or C. Then, select ‘1’, or A. Next, select ‘3’ or T. Finally, select ‘1’ or O. This should spell out CATO. This will allow you to access the menu. You can read through the lore here by perusing Hephaestus’ message, or you can skip to the next step by selecting GARDEN LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL. Once you’ve selected the Garden Lockdown Protocol, select Disengage.
Doing so will conclude the Keeper of the Flames! Now, you just have to disengage two more doors… to that end, here’s how to complete the Keeper of Waves and Keeper of Gales.
