Temptation, the second mission in The Final Shape expansion for Destiny 2, tasks players with deactivating three conduit switches to power down a barrier blocking a crucial entrance to a cave. Here is how to deactivate conduits in Destiny 2 The Final Shape.
How to Deactivate Conduits in Destiny 2
Destiny 2 The Final Shape players can deactivate conduits by inserting Psionic Insights to make the lever point to the section where the glowing light is. There are three conduits in the area and all are marked by floating glowing obelisks.
The conduits are these big machines that feature a circular platform with a lever placed in the middle. It resembles a clock with the lever acting as a hand and specific points on the outside of the circle that it can point to. The machine has clockwise and counterclockwise buttons to make the lever rotate accordingly.
The clockwise and counterclockwise buttons require Psionic Insights to power up the buttons each time. Doing so will make the lever rotate in the direction that was pressed. There are also markings on the outside of the circle with one point having a light glow from it.
The objective is to insert Psionic Insights into the machine and make the lever turn clockwise or counterclockwise to point directly at the glowing light. The conduits may require you to do this once or twice.
How to Get Psionic Insights in Destiny 2 The Final Shape
Psionic Insights can be earned by killing the Insight Psions that are near the conduits. The enemies will repeatedly spawn after use, so you do not have to find new spots if you need more.
Killing these Insight Psions will give you Psionic Insights, marked in the lower-left above the Super meter. Make sure to kill the right number of Insight Psions before inserting them into the conduit, as the number of Insights owned will make the lever move the same amount of spaces.
