Item Factions are one of the latest systems added to Last Epoch, and if you want to climb the Reputation ranks, you need to earn a fair share of Favor. Whether it’s for the Merchant’s Guild or the Circle of Fortune, this guide will explain the process.
How to Earn Item Faction Favor in Last Epoch
After choosing a faction, kill enemies around Eterra and complete recurring quests to earn more Favor. There are no designated bosses or enemy types that you need to hunt down, which is why you won’t find any marks on your map for objectives. Simply play Last Epoch as you always would and prioritize activities that will let you kill hordes of enemies. I would recommend running Monoliths as soon as you get past Chapter 9.
Don’t forget that you need to have a faction locked in before you start earning any favor. Within Chapter 9 of the main campaign, you can choose between the Merchant’s Guild or the Circle of Fortune. Once you pick one, you are aligned with them unless you make a change, and you can start earning some gear. Equipping gear tied to your specific faction should help with Favor gains as you farm monsters.
With enough Favor earned in Last Epoch, you can start heading to your respective faction to earn more Reputation. That can be done by collecting more favored loot with the Circle or trading items at the Bazaar for the Merchant’s Guild. Either way, the Favor needed to reach those new Reputation ranks will be the same. But if you decide to switch who you collect your items for, you may need to earn some of that Favor back.
To help you start earning ranks faster, make sure you have your Idols in place to decimate any enemies in Last Epoch
