How to Earn the Power Overwhelming Achievement in The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Upgrade

UNLIMITED POWER!

White Orchard, the first location of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, provides several excellent early-game bonuses and Witcher gear as a reward to completionist players who explore every nook and cranny of the game’s tutorial level. One of the most important bonuses is places of power, which are the stone obelisks that Geralt can use to absorb magic power. Drawing from a place a power has twofold benefits, buffing one of Geralt’s five magic abilities (Aard, Axii, Igni, Quen, and Yrden) for a long duration of time (eventually wearing off after 30 minutes), as well as providing players with an ability point to acquire some of Geralt’s unique Witcher skills.

Place of Power #1

In White Orchard, you can find the first place of power to the north of the Mill, east of the Nilfgaardian Garrison, and northwest from Cackler bridge, as seen in the map above.

Here you will find an Aard Place of Power. Draw from it to boost your Aard Sign and gain an ability point. Now that you have drawn from this place of power, you have 30 minutes to find the other four in White Orchard. As the game’s first location is small, and this guide will provide the exact locations, it shouldn’t be too challenging.

The second place of power can be found south of the first place of power, north of the Mill, east of the Nilfgaardian Garrison, and west of Cackler Bridge.

Here you will find an Igni place of power. Draw from it to boost your Igni Sign and gain an ability point.

South of the Nilfgaardian Garrison, northeast from the Sawmill, west of the Mill, and northwest of Woesong Bridge is the third place of power.

Here you will find an Axii place of power. Draw from it to boost your Axii sign and gain an ability point.

South of the Broken Bridge and the Abandoned Village, you can find the fourth place of power.

Here you will find a Quen place of power. Draw from it to boost your Quen sign and gain an ability point. However, be on your guard for a wraith that spawns near this location.

Lastly, southeast of the Abandoned Village, and far south of Ford and Woesong Bridge is the final place of power in White Orchard.

Here you will find a Yrden place of power. Draw from it to boost your Yrden sign and gain an ability point. Look out for a bear that spawns near this location.
