Collecting and taming monsters is the name of the game in Monster Hunter Stories 2. But doing so when you’re only able to fit a handful of monsters in the Stable becomes quite difficult. You can only have six monsters in your team at any given time, but having a wide variety of monsters in the Stable is imperative.
Not only is having plenty of monsters on deck essential for battle, but also genetic modification and exploration. In short, you’re going to need all the space you can get.
How to Fit More Monsters in the Stables in Monster Hunter Stories 2
You can expand your Stables in exchange for Bottle Caps at Melynx Inc.
As soon as you complete the Secrets of the Everden quest and unlock the ability to use the Melynx Store, you can start upgrading your Stables. Melynx Inc. only dabbles in Bottle Caps, however, so finding a decent stash of those is your first step. You can find Bottle Caps inside red chests hidden in Everdens. There are usually a couple of Everdens per biome, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for them and hunt down those Bottle Caps whenever you can.
After securing your funds, seek out the Melynx representative at the nearest town. Melynx Felynes have scarves around their necks and can be found wherever you see a wicker basket icon with an eye-like symbol on it.
Interact with the Melynx representative to see the purchasable items and search for the one labeled Stable Blueprint. Purchase the Stable Blueprint to expand the Stables so you can keep more monsters in there.
There are five Stable Blueprints altogether. Here’s how much they will cost you in Bottle Caps:
- Stable Blueprint 1: 5 Bottle Caps
- Stable Blueprint 2: 14 Bottle Caps
- Stable Blueprint 3: 18 Bottle Caps
- Stable Blueprint 4: 22 Bottle Caps
- Stable Blueprint 5: 26 Bottle Caps
If you’ve only just unlocked Melynx Inc. and you want to get a headstart on expanding your Stables, don’t panic when you don’t see more Stable Blueprints in the shop. More upgrades will be unlocked as you progress through the story.
