With the introduction of Destiny 2: Into the Light, Bungie released a new wave of new content including a new PvE activity, returning Exotic missions, and reprised weapons in the form of the BRAVE Arsenal. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get Shiny weapons in Destiny 2 Into the Light.
What Are Shiny Weapons in Destiny 2?
While it’s pretty easy to collect these weapons by completing the PvE activity “Onslaught”, getting the rare “Shiny” versions of these weapons appears to be a bit more challenging.
Aside from having an obvious cosmetic and visual upgrade from their more common counterparts, the Shiny variants of the BRAVE Arsenal drop with extra perks in the third and fourth slots. This gives players a clear competitive edge against players who have the base versions.
In addition, Shiny Weapons are only available for a limited time. Once The Final Shape releases on June 4, their common counterparts will remain in the loot pool, but the Shiny variants will no longer be obtainable. This gives players just under two months to bag as many drops as they can.
How To Get Shiny Weapons in Destiny 2
The only way to currently receive Shiny Weapons is to grind the new PvE hoard-mode activity, Onslaught. The drop rate for these variants seems to be completely luck-based, as players have reported going days without receiving a single drop.
However, if you wish to speed up the process of receiving these drops, there are a few things you can do.
Best Way To Farm Shiny Weapons
As we previously stated, the drop rate for this weapon seems to be luck-based. However, to make your farming journey a bit more efficient, here’s what you can do:
- Attune your desired Shiny weapon in the Hall of Champions to boost its drop rate by 50%.
- Play the more difficult, Legend version of Onslaught. As expected, this activity grants players double the loot compared to the normal version. So if you’re farming, it’s a no-brainer.
- Complete Arcite’s Brave Quest to gain Shiny Weapons with set perks. These may not be the best rolls, but at least they’re shiny…right?
So there you have it. That’s how you can bag yourself a Shiny weapon before The Final Shape drops and they’re gone forever. Good luck with your farms, Guardians.
