The Scar is the most iconic weapon from Fortnite and it made a return once again in the OG Chapter 4 Season 5 season. Unlike some recent returns of the assault rifle, this one can be incredibly hard to find, and I’m here to help you out.

Where to Find the Scar in Fortnite OG Chapter 4

You can get the Scar by opening Supply Drops around the island or getting lucky with a rare drop from any chest. Technically you can find the Scar at any loot location in the game, but I have yet to see a single-floor spawn of the rarest weapons. At best, you might get the Scar from a standard chest as you search around buildings.

It’s also important to note that there are two versions of the Scar. One is the Suppressed Assault Rifle and the other is the Epic or Legendary variation of the standard Assault Rifle. Though they look similar, they don’t have the same stats. The normal Scar is far more rare and it has better stats across the board.

So if you want the iconic version of the Scar in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5, I recommend opening any kind of Supply Drop that you can. These are the blue crates that fall to the island with massive yellow and white balloons. As they are dropping, you can see blue smoke on the ground and it gets marked on the map.

Aside from Supply Drops and searching chests, there is always one last option to find rare loot in Fortnite. You can hunt down enemy players and hope that they have the best loot. Landing in spots like Tilted Towers or Pleasant Park usually leads to more loot spawns and enemy teams, so drop hot if you want to increase the odds of a rare assault rifle.
