If you’ve spent any time playing Helldivers 2 on Medium or higher difficulty, there’s a good chance that you’ve met your untimely fate due to a Bile Spewer. Let’s see what we can do to eliminate these enemies once and for all.
Where To Find Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2
If you’re hoping to find Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2, you’ll want to avoid going to the Automaton planets and stick to any Terminid Planet. You’ll also want to ensure that you’re partaking in missions on at least Medium or Higher difficulty. The more difficult the mission, the better chance that you’ll have to encounter them.
As per a location, you’ll find these creatures spread around the map in a variety of places — but you’re going to have the best of luck around the Terminid Hives and other places of interest. You may be lucky enough, if that’s the correct term here, to find them just roaming around the world before you. Since the brave folks continue to liberate planets, just make sure that you’re swapping between different planets and locations if you’re hoping to take these foes down.
Not every Terminid planet is going to have Bile Spewers, however — especially since planets continue to be Liberated, they may start to spawn in different locations. You’ll never encounter a Bile Spewer if you’re facing off against the Automatons, so you won’t need to worry about a double threat there. Maybe in the future if they, for some reason, decide to work with one another.
Easiest Ways To Kill Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2
Before you head out on your expedition, you’ll want to ensure that you’ve gotten your hands on some great equipment. For missions where you may encounter Bile Spewers either on your own or with a group of friends, I would recommend bringing the following Stratagems;
- Eagle Orbital Strike (Missles/Bombs)
- Either the Stalwart or Machine Gun
- Supply Pack (especially if embarking Solo)
- Either Gatling or Missle Sentry
You’ll also want to ensure that you have weaponry that is well-suited for Crowd Control, such as the P-19 Redeemer Automatic Pistol so you can wipe out enemies quickly without taking much damage yourself.
However, be sure to experiment and see if other Stratagems may work out better for your playstyle. I’ve spent a fair bit of time exploring Helldivers 2 alone and with friends, so I’ve found my favorite weapons to use. However, try these tips to keep yourself alive during a Bile Spewer Encounter.
Don’t Be Afraid To Dodge Out Of The Way of the Bile
Evasive Action is going to be one of the easiest ways to ensure that you can survive the onslaught of Bile that will be coming your way, so don’t forget to dive. A quick double tap of the crouch button will send you — hopefully — out of harm’s way, but don’t forget to pick a good direction before diving, otherwise, you may end up jumping directly into the stream of Bile, killing you quickly.
Bring Out Heavy Weaponry When Needed
When push comes to shove, you’ll want to bring out the big guns. While the Stalwart Machine Gun may not have as much punch power as the standard Machine Gun, its versatility makes it one of my favorite weapons in the game. The fact that you won’t be a sitting duck while trying to reload when facing off against a Bug Breach makes it all the more valuable in a situation such as this, and as long as you attempt to target the glowing green stomach of these Bile Spewers, you can do some significant damage to them.
“Calling Down A Sentry!” Never Sounded So Good
When in doubt, don’t be afraid to use your Stratagems in situations like this. If you’ve got a Sentry Gun waiting to be deployed, there’s never been a better time to use them. Much like the Chargers that you can encounter, you’ll want something that packs a punch against these horrifying creatures, and in my case, I love the Gatling. Even if it isn’t doing enough damage on its own, it can work as a distraction so you can flank around the side and start delivering some Democracy of your own on its weak spot.
An Eagle Never Misses Its Target
Using explosives like the Eagle Orbital Strike can cause some tremendous damage against armored enemies, alongside your standard grenades. If you’ve brought along a Supply Pack, you’ll have the opportunity to reload your weapon when you’ve run out of these explosives, giving you the upper hand in combat against the horrifying Terminids you’ll encounter.
