The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom allows players to utilize their creativity to create all sorts of amazing contraptions. Due to the fact that players can get Small Wheels by way of Zonai Devices, players can even construct cars and buggies! Since you are here, it’s about time I showed you how to make a car in Tears of the Kingdom!
How to Build a Car in Tears of the Kingdom
There are an infinite number of methods you can use to make a car in TOTK. However, I’ll be providing you the simplest technique to do so. Let’s get right into it!
Step #1: Create a Platform
When making a car in Tears of the Kingdom, you need to make sure you can stand on it during travel. To create the base of your car, you can combine logs or planks in almost any configuration.
You can also use one of the mini car platforms found scattered around the map, however these seem to be a bit less reliable than a hand-made auto-mobile.
As seen in the image above, the car platform doesn’t have to be anything special. Simply use the Ultrahand to combine a few planks and you’re golden!
Step #2: Add Wheels
What is a car without wheels? You can either use your Small Wheel Zonai Devices to conjure up some wheels, or you can find wheels at any of the Hyrule Restoration Materials areas. Attach these wheels to the side of your platform, and you will now have a movable platform!

As you can see in the image above, I actually ended up attaching the wheels to wooden poles, which I found conveniently lying on the ground nearby. This gives it a better look in my opinion.
Now time to power this bad boy!
Step #3: Add Power to your Car
There are a few ways to get your car powered in Tears of the Kingdom. The easiest method is to attach Fan Zonai Devices to it (shown above). This will push your car in the direction of your choice, allowing for much faster travel throughout the map.
Make sure to use Zonai Charges to ensure you have enough power to keep your car moving.
Now that you know how to make a car in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it’s time to get out there and explore Hyrule to your heart’s content!
