The vast open world in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) would be completely boring if the weather kept staying the same throughout the whole gameplay. Storms definitely exist in TotK and they could be dangerous (and whenever possible, please avoid them) since you can actually get struck by lightning in Tears of the Kingdom. Prima Games would like to show you how to evade this natural phenomenon and not get struck by lightning in TotK.
How to Avoid Getting Electrocuted by Lightning Storm in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
Getting electrocuted by a lightning storm in TotK is unpleasant, to say the least. It will outright get you killed in most cases due to the amount of damage it deals. By default, it does up to around 14 hearts of damage, depending on some factors. Yikes! Here’s how you can avoid getting electrocuted (struck by lightning) in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Not Get Pikachu’d in a Storm and Avoid the Lightning in Tears of the Kingdom
I apologize, but I just had to make a meme subtitle. The other alternative was “how to evade x-ray” alluding to the cartoon trope (depiction, to be exact) of being struck by lightning.
It’s rather easy to evade being struck by lightning in Tears of the Kingdom. Just don’t act as a conductor and ditch all of the metal parts of your gear. It’s easy to tell apart the metal stuff from non-metal stuff in your inventory. The metal stuff has a glitter/shine effect on them.
The alternative is to get Rubber Armor, which has shock resistance (and in real life, rubber does not conduct electricity, so there’s that as well).

In addition to that, there is a Lightning Helm that you can get, which provides you with a “Lightning Proof” effect.
