Alan Wake 2 is coming to each of the three major platforms (PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S), though you may be wondering if there’s a cheaper way you can get it on Xbox or PC. Here’s whether Alan Wake 2 is coming to Game Pass.
Will Alan Wake 2 Be Available on Game Pass?
At launch, Alan Wake 2 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox Series X|S, or Cloud. This is due to Remedy Entertainment having no major deal with Microsoft to bring it to the service, outside of their deal to bring it to the Xbox Series X|S in the first place. The same can be said for any of PlayStation’s subscription services. The only deal with any platform that Remedy has for Alan Wake 2 is with PC, where the game will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a window of time.
While it is a shame that Alan Wake 2 won’t be on Game Pass at launch (I’m right there with you as a Game Pass subscriber), it does at least make sense. Alan Wake 2 is a flagship title with quite a bit of hype surrounding it. Putting it on Game Pass immediately would probably damage sales, and decrease the likelihood of a future game in the series.
Will Alan Wake 2 Ever Come to Game Pass?
Naturally, Alan Wake 2 ever coming to Game Pass is a bit more up in the air. However, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Remedy Entertainment tends not to put their games on Game Pass, so the chances are slim unless they make a pivot at some point. If they do then I’ll be sure to update this article, but if it does happen, it won’t be for a long while.
