Is ARK: Survival Ascended Releasing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4?
Studio Wildcard currently has no plans to release ARK: Survival Ascended on Xbox One or PlayStation 4. It was released on Steam for PC on October 25, 2023, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S launch dates for November 2023. We will likely not see any updates on older-generation console releases until its multiplayer issues, crashing errors, and other bugs are fixed on PCs and consoles.
In other words, while it may launch on PS4 or Xbox One in the future, there is no exact timeline for when, or even if, this will happen.
ARK: Survival Ascended plans to release on PS5 and Xbox X|S in November, with crossplay between platforms temporarily disabled until the game’s crash errors are resolved. Although currently available on Steam, there are no immediate plans for its launch on other platforms like Xbox Game Pass.
As time passes, we may see further developments on it expanding to different consoles. However, there are several points Wildcard will have to address, such as cross-platform modding and crossplay support for older consoles. For now, the primary focus seems to be patching issues on PC, keeping the PS5 and Series X|S launches stable, and bringing all of Survival Evolved’s remastered content into Ascended.
