After its initial leak a few days prior to the Xbox Games Showcase, the official reveal for Persona 3 Reload was delivered alongside new pieces of info about it, such as its official platforms. The game is confirmed to be playable on Xbox and PC immediately after its release. But what about the PS5? Can we relive this adventure on Sony consoles?
Will Persona 3 Reload Be Available on PlayStation 5?
Persona 3 Reload is confirmed to be on both PS5 and PS4 during its release on February 2nd. The game was initially revealed to be available only on Xbox consoles and PC, reinforcing the Atlus + Microsoft partnership which is going strong as ever. But it was eventually confirmed to be also on Sony consoles on their official website.
Persona 3 was originally released in 2007 for the PlayStation 2. All of its sequels/prequels were also initially made for PlayStation consoles, so it was very unlikely that Atlus would just let this 25+ years tradition go to waste and lose potential extra players across other consoles.
And as a reminder, the recent re-releases of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal were also made available for PlayStation 4 and 5, despite not initially being announced as such. The Sony logo just wasn’t included in the PC trailer because, well, it was an Xbox Showcase. Reload was also featured in another Xbox Showcase, so the PS5 announcement might just come at a later date.
And also, on the same day Reload was “announced” ahead of its time, preorders for physical copies of the game were supposedly available for a few minutes. Those included not only copies for the Xbox Series X, but also for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

We know one thing for certain: Atlus won’t waste their chances at making money and locking the remake for such a beloved game outside certain consoles would definitely lose them a few pennies. And being available on as many platforms as possible is more than necessary for that.
Although this might not be the definitive remake fans were hoping for, there are a lot of new things to be seen here, such as the brand-new English voice cast.
