Metal Gear Survive Tips

Getting used to the differences between Metal Gear Survive and previous Metal Gear titles will take time. But, there are a few things that you can do to ensure you’re getting the most out of the game early on.

First, take your time when you spawn into the initial staging area. There are quite a number of things you can do here, the most important of which are to take on some training to improve your skills, manage your inventory and the items in your supply box, or accept any missions or open events going on right now.

We’d suggest starting off the game by getting some extra training in while you’re in the staging area. Not only is this going to give you a good chance to get used to some of the controls, but it also lets you get more used to the game itself—which is something you will want as you head out into the main portion of the game. You can also change out your loadout and try additional weapons and items out to see if they work for you. Keep in mind that you won’t have much at first, so spend a little bit here, try out the controls, then head into a new mission.

After you choose a mission, you’ll find yourself right outside the wormhole generator that you need to defend alongside your friends. You’ll have plenty of time before the horde starts moving in, so don’t worry. Take your time and start looking around the area. You’ll want to harvest materials during this start-up phase, as they’ll be extremely useful throughout the mission. You should also keep in mind that almost every item you come across in the game can be refined into a material that you can use.

Once the battle starts, move through the level and take out any enemies that you come across. Remember not to leave the wormhole generator alone for too long, or the enemies may end up gathering around it and destroying it before you have a chance to defend it.
