How to Transfer Pokémon

The Go Park is a special feature that will allow players to move Pokémon between Pokémon Go and Pokémon: Let’s Go, allowing them to make use of all the Pokémon that they’ve caught in the smartphone app. To get started you’re going to need to connect your Pokémon Go account to your Pokémon: Let’s Go account by following the steps below:

Open up Pokémon Go and then select the Poke Ball icon. From here, check Settings and look for the Nintendo Switch option. Once you select Nintendo Switch, go ahead and choose Connect to Nintendo Switch.

Next, open up Pokémon: Let’s go and open up the Pause Menu by pressing X on your Nintendo Switch. From here you can tap the Y button to bring up the Settings menu. Now look for the Pokémon Go option and then confirm the pairing by selecting Yes when it pops up. This will allow you to confirm your account info and then connect your two accounts together, so you can begin moving Pokémon over to Pokémon: Let’s Go.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when moving Pokémon from Pokémon Go to Pokémon: Let’s Go. First, any Pokémon that you move to the Go Park will no longer be useable in Pokémon Go. You will, however, receive 1 Candy per Pokémon that you move. After you make the initial move to the Go Park from Pokémon Go, you’ll also need to finalize the transfer in Pokémon: Let’s Go.

To finalize the process and fully transfer Pokémon into Pokémon: Let’s Go you will need to head to the Go Park and speak with the receptionist. You’ll then be able to finalize the process and receive the Pokémon that you moved over from Pokémon Go. Not all Pokémon from Pokémon Go can be transferred to Pokémon: Let’s Go. Event Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon won’t be transferrable, which means you’ll need to get Mew and other special Pokémon other ways in Pokémon: Let’s Go.

That’s all you need to know about transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Go to Pokémon: Let’s Go. Make sure you return to our Pokémon: Let’s Go guide for more helpful information and content to help you navigate the latest adventure from Nintendo.
