Remnant 2’s first DLC, The Awakened King, is finally available on all major platforms, but how you access it can be confusing. Here’s how to access The Awakened King DLC for Remnant 2.

How to Play The Awakened King in Remnant 2

To play The Awakened King in Remnant 2, you’ll want to head into Adventure Mode and select The Awakened King, which should be one of the four possible choices next to Yaesha, Losomn, and N’Erud. Once it’s selected, pick your difficulty and ensure that Adventure Mode is active. From there, simply close out of that menu and select Losomn, through which you should be able to teleport to the Forlorn Coast and begin the DLC.

If you don’t have access to Adventure Mode yet, accessing it isn’t too difficult. To do so, you’ll want to play through the tutorial until you’re placed into one of the three biomes. It’s possible this could be The Awakened King, or it could be the regular game. Depending on which one you’re at, complete this biome and you’ll unlock Adventure Mode. From there, The Awakened King should automatically be unlocked as an Adventure Mode option since it’s a separate thing.

It’s important to note that these aren’t the only ways to access The Awakened King. Other than through Adventure Mode, The Awakened King can appear in the standard story mode. It’s an RNG selection so the chances aren’t super high, but it is still possible. I’d only go this route if you already want to play through the story again though. It’s not worth going through the entirety of Yaesha and N’Erud just to run into a different option of Losomn.

Remnant 2: The Awakened King is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you’re looking into whether you should buy the DLC, check out our hands-off impressions with around 20 minutes of The Awakened King.
