Chef Overview and Tips
Apart from the abilities, here are a few things to know about Chef that aren’t explained above:
- Dice doubles the chance of triggering on-hit items because you can recall the cleaver after throwing it.
- Glazed enemies can be seared for a lot more additional damage.
- Searing is the perfect skill to deal with a group of enemies as it has a large impact area.
- Combining any three skills or more on an enemy will force enemies to drop food, which you can pick to heal. So, ideally, you want to glaze enemies first, sear them for additional damage, and then dice them for the finisher.
- The food dropped by these enemies can also be consumed by teammates.
- Roll lets you stun enemies in a row while dealing a ridiculous amount of damage, too, and it’s a great skill that can be used to get out of tricky situations.
The Chef is a tremendous addition to the Risk of Rain 2 roster, but it requires finding a few ingredients to unlock. Apart from Chef, the Seeker is a great healer and mid-range brawler, while the False Son is a heavy-hitting melee character that’s fairly hard to unlock.
