Now that Season 1 has arrived in Diablo 4, plenty of players are going to start some fresh characters for the seasonal content, and there is an option to skip the campaign. Before you go through with the skip, I’ll go over what happens when you skip and if you should use that option for the Season of the Malignant.
Diablo 4: Should You Skip the Campaign?
In Season 1, you should definitely skip the campaign for Diablo 4 and save yourself some time. Players who have the option to skip have already finished the campaign in the Eternal or the Hardcore realm. That means there is no story lost and running through all over again is essentially a waste of time for fresh builds.
Of course, you can always run the campaign again if you really want to experience the full story again. However, I wouldn’t recommend it because it isn’t a great source of XP or loot. So if you are trying to participate in the latest Season 1 content, then this will just add another layer of content that isn’t necessary.
How to Skip the Campaign in Diablo 4 Season 1
To skip the campaign, create a new character and then select the “skip campaign” option in the finalize tab of the customization menu. This option will only be available for Diablo 4 players that have already completed the campaign in the past. So if you still have more story quests to finish, focus on that first or just beat it on a fresh character.

For players who haven’t completed the campaign, it’s still important for jumping world tiers in Season 1, so you should certainly prioritize it alongside the Season of the Malignant. Next time you can skip the campaign with no worries.
