SMITE 2 has officially been announced publicly, and there’s much to unpack regarding its launch platforms and dates. Let’s talk about when SMITE 2 will be released and where you can play the game when its servers open.
When is SMITE 2 Releasing? – Countdown and Platforms
SMITE 2 will initially launch through a Closed Alpha Test on PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 in Spring 2024. The exact date and time are unknown; however, assuming there are no delays, this puts its release window between March and June 2024.
It’s also currently unknown whether SMITE 2 will launch on PS4, Xbox One, or Switch to match its predecessor, nor do we know the exact month or day its closed alpha will begin.
Alongside this, its prequel, SMITE, will host various events that allow you to receive legacy gems, cosmetics, and more in SMITE 2. Whether or not these will be accessible in the Closed Alpha is unknown.
To sign up for the Closed Alpha test, head to the official SMITE 2 website and select “Register for Alpha”. It’ll ask you to choose your desired platform, type in your email, and confirm that you agree to its Terms of Service before officially entering you into the waitlist. Doing this doesn’t guarantee you’ll get to participate, but it at least puts you on the list of players wanting to join.
Since the Closed Alpha Test is the latest update Titan Forge Games has revealed about SMITE 2, there’s no telling when the game will fully launch. However, we suspect it’ll take at least until the end of the year, if not until 2025 and beyond, to hear more about its open release date.
