Season 21 of Destiny 2, Season of the Deep, has been out for almost a week now. We’ve all had a little time to sink our teeth into the meat of the content, so let’s take a look at this season’s artifact – the NPA Repulsion Regulator. This guide will quickly skim through some of the most stand-out perks from each column – and remember, you don’t need to equip these anymore! They’re automatically applied to your character once you unlock them. Let’s begin.

We won’t be covering the first column in this guide, since it only includes Champion stun modifiers – you’ll likely end up picking up all of these eventually, but to begin with, just choose the ones that correlate to weapons you’re most comfortable with.
The Best NPA Repulsion Regulator Artifact Mods
Let’s start by looking at Column 2:
Technicolor Siphon – This mod let’s you benefit from both Arc and Strand Siphon simultaneously, making it a great cost-effective choice for any build that uses one of each of these kinds of weapons.
Authorized Mods: Melee – This is another no-brainer pick that simply makes all melee mods cost less energy to use. Take it ASAP.
Moving on to Column 3:
Unto the Breach – This spawns Voice Breaches when you defeat a Void debuffed target while using a Void subclass. Void Breaches not only grant Class Ability Energy, but also synergize well with some of the other mods on this list.
Thunderous Retort: Your Super is stronger if using it when critically wounded or Amplified, meaning free Super damage if you pop it at the right time.
And in Column 4 we have:
Strand Soldier: Your Strand weapons gain Unraveling rounds when you have Woven Mail while using a Strand subclass. This is especially useful on Titans, where Woven Mail uptime is relatively high.
Protective Breach: Remember what I said about Void Breaches? Now they grant you an overshield or refresh and existing overshield when you pick them up.
And finally, the extra-juicy Column 5:
Shock and Awe: Any Arc final blows while Amplified now creates a burst of lightning that both damages and jolts targets.
Supernova: Once again, a great Void Breach synergy – now they cause your next source of Void damage to create a large weakening pulse.
Lightning Strikes Twice: After throwing an Arc grenade, you gain increased grenade recharge for a short time, with Arc final blows extending this buff. Who needs Heart of Inmost Light, anyway?
And that’s it! These are my picks for the mods you should be prioritizing this season. As you can tell, it’s a pretty Void and Arc heavy outing this time around, so be sure to dust off those loadouts. If you need help getting started, check out our Season of the Deep guides right here.
