Tears of the Kingdom has many puzzles and secrets to explore all around the world. From the cold mountains of Hebra to the dozens of islands in the sky, there is no shortage of fun things to find. During your adventures on Great Sky Island and beyond, you’ll occasionally encounter large dandelion plants, which look like decoration at first but are very important if you want to 100% the game. If you want to learn more, continue reading to discover what dandelions do in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Solve Dandelion Puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)
To get rewards from dandelions, swing at the plant with your sword and cause a seed to fly into the air. As it descends, examine it by approaching the seed and pressing the A button. Doing this summons a Korok who’ll give you a Korok Seed!
If you don’t examine the seed in time, it’ll hit the ground and disappear. Fortunately, you can swing at the dandelion with your weapon again to create another seed, allowing you to repeat this puzzle multiple times.

After obtaining the Korok Seed, you can bring it to Hestu for various upgrades, including more inventory slots!
Where to Find Dandelions in TOTK
While dandelions aren’t the only way to get Korok Seeds in Tears of the Kingdom, you will find them occasionally throughout Hyrule. The first one I found was on Great Sky Island, south of Gutanbac Shrine, at coordinates (0620, -1654, 1503). Since I was distracted by the cold, I only encountered it after returning to Nachoyah Shrine and traveling east.
Later in my playthrough, I noticed a few more of these, particularly around Hyrule Field. Below are the exact coordinates for some dandelions I found during my Tears of the Kingdom adventures:
- North of Outskirt Stable: -1438, -0846, 0018
- East of Outskirt Stable: -1057, -1320, 0061
- North of Teniten Shrine: -0126, -0940, 0038
While these aren’t the only ones in the game, they’re a good place to start if you want to pick up some Korok Seeds early!
