Warhammer 40K: Darktide’s Psyker is arguably one of the most interesting classes out of the bunch. That’s not to say the other classes aren’t fun, because trust us, trampling a crowd as Ogryn is endlessly enjoyable, but it’s easily the most unique. Its use of the Warp to create all sorts of magic abilities is a great idea, and as a bonus makes them great for clearing specials. While progressing with them, you may have noticed an ability that seemed a little confusing. Here’s what a Perils of the Warp Explosion is in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
Darktide Perils of the Warp Explosion Explained
You may have first noticed the Perils of the Warp Explosion referred to in a few places. The Going Out With a Bang penance/achievement, for example, asks you to kill three elites with one use of the ability on Malice or higher. If this is the case, then you’ll be happy to know pulling it off is fairly easy, although it might upset your allies for reasons you’re about to understand.

A Perils of the Warp Explosion occurs when you reach max Peril, causing your Psyker to create a large explosion around you. The reason this might upset your allies isn’t that it hurts them, but rather it will cause you to go down and need to be revived, something that can mean the difference between a win and a loss in a tense moment. As such, going for something like the above penance will require you to be extra careful when you do this. You’ll ideally be able to run into a crowd of Scab Gunners or Maulers and do this at some point, though you’ll need to keep the cost to your team in mind. You can also wear down the targets you’re going to explode, making the chances of you getting it just a tad easier. Good luck!
