For many, it may have flown under the radar, but at The Game Awards show in December, we got an announcement for yet another Bayonetta game. After the success of Bayonetta 3 in 2022 on the Nintendo Switch, this year will have another title with the popular Umbra witch, but a little different from what we are used to. Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a prequel and an origin story for Bayonetta from the third game, but in a very different style. Instead of sexy, over the top action, here we have a younger Bayo, or Cereza, who is just learning how to become a witch while she walks through fairy-infested forests with her demon Cheshire.
If you’re a fan of Bayonetta lore and games with beautiful art, you’re probably looking forward to this release and wondering how much space you’ll need on your Switch system or SD card. Let’s find out.

What is Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Total File Size?
Bayonetta Origins is coming to the Nintendo Switch this March, and Nintendo recently revealed how much space the game will take up. The file size for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is 3.2 GB as it is listed on the official Nintendo Store online.
Compared to Bayonetta 3’s 15 GB size, this seems tiny, but we assume that the contrast in size is due to the different art styles and formats. Hopefully, this difference in size will not be reflected in the amount of content and the duration of the game – it better not, since Nintendo is asking a full $60 for this one as well. Yikes!
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is releasing exclusively for Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023.
