There are 30 levels available to grind through in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta, which means there are plenty of weapons to try out, and only one can be the best. Only a couple are currently in the running for “best gun” in MW3, but there is only one AR to rule them all in weekend two.
The Best Weapon in the Modern Warfare 3 Beta
The best gun in the MW3 Beta is the MCW assault rifle. Also known as the ACR, this rifle is the most versatile weapon in the game and can easily beat most other guns with no attachments. With an entire loadout, you can tell that the MCW will be the go-to gun as competitions begin for sites like UMG or Game Battles.
In second place is the Striker submachine gun. With the Striker in hand, you will beat the MCW in close-quarters fights nearly every time. However, you don’t stand much of a chance at medium range or longer ranges. After weekend one came to a close, the Striker got a small nerf to nearly all damage at range, so it lost some of the luster.
Don’t get me wrong; the Striker is still a fantastic weapon and arguably on par with the MCW. But for most players in the MW3 Beta, the MCW is an easy crutch. It will outshine any other weapons at range aside from snipers. Even then, you can throw sniper players off with the amount of flinch that exists in Modern Warfare 3.
The MCW can be unlocked at level 12, so you get it early on, and you can even find it in one of the default loadouts. When you finally earn it, use a balance of recoil control and ADS speed. You just want the most versatile gun that you can create.]
