The Armor Cap has been reworked once again with the commencement of Diablo 4 Season 4, and players have a new target to aim for. Blizzard has reworked this figure every season, and certain rollable stats are also affected along the way. Hence, it’s crucial for players to know about the new cap to ensure that they’re correctly utilizing all the stats.
What is the Maximum Armor Cap in Diablo 4 Season 4?
When you open your in-game character gear screen, you’ll see an armor value. The maximum value of Armor you can reach in Diablo 4 Season 4 is 9,230. This applies to all five classes as well.
In Season 4, Armor value gains a lot more importance due to the removal of Damage Reduction from the pool of stats. If you’re focusing on defensive builds, improving your armor value becomes even more important to hit the cap. Thankfully, there’s an efficient way to improve your armor value with the help of the tempering system.
How to Increase Armor in Diablo 4 Season 4
The new tempering process is highly beneficial if you want to improve the armor value of your existing gear. It can be utilized by a Blacksmith in any location at the sanctuary.
- Open the menu at any Blacksmith and choose the third option, which opens up the Tempering tab.
- Choose the third option that says Defensive.
- Pick Worldly Endurance (it offers a chance to improve your armor by 8%-10%)
- Continue rolling until you’re satisfied with the draw.
That’s all you need to improve your gear’s armor scores without replacing them with better ones.
Do note that you could surpass the Armor Cap applicable in Diablo 4 Season 4, but it doesn’t make any sense. Once you’re past the cap, there won’t be any extra advantage to get. Instead, you can use the stat rolls to improve other key aspects like Offense. While there’s no penalty for breaching the cap, it’s better to split your stat points in multiple departments.
